Employee Health Fair Development
We've all heard the saying, "If you've got your health, you've got everything," but what we
frequently don't have is the time to get important health checks called health screenings.
Research has shown that basic health checks help more people find workable healthcare solutions
for problems that may become more serious as a result of neglect. Convenience and ease of
access are important--having these checks provided in the same building where we work and
available on a coffee break or lunch is very important.
We have an excellent team of healthcare provessionals who seek to serve the people they
screen as patients or clients. All providers offer no-to-low-cost health checks that are truly
helpful in designing and motivating health and fitness strategies. Depending on the size of the
facility and the types of services desired, we could inluce six to twelve different providers or stations.
The following are some examples:
- Lower back evaluations
- Weight distribution screening
- Cholesterol and glucose checks
- Blood pressure checks
- Body Mass Index
- Skin Care
- Massage
- Posture
- Fitness and Nutrition
- Cosmetic dentistry
- Optical screenings
Ergonomic/Injury prevention presentations
Dr. Kress also gives presentations on workplace ergonomics and related problems such as
headaches, neck pain, back pain and related arm, wrist and hand pain, numbness or tingling. In
this program, he explains how the problems start, workplace hazards, warning signs, and
successful strategies to avoid and recover from the aforementioned list. His presentations can
incorporate actual pictures of company employees in ergonomically compromising positions and
solutions to correct the problems. Other lecture topics are also available such as stress or
carpal tunnel. These lecture programs are very popular due to their interactive and customized
nature. Typically, these presentations are given to company administrators over lunch for
example, but they can also be given to larger groups if preferred.
On Site Ergonomic Evaluations
Dr. Kress can also evaluate and troubleshoot work groups, individuals and their
workstations. Once an evaluation is completed, he develops a report on his findings, and if
necessary, designs a plan based upon his recommendations to reduce the number of reported
complaints, RSI's, lost time and productivity. This program provides solutions for potential
problem areas to create a healthier workplace with more productive workers.
